Hedrick Medical Center is a regional health care facility located in Chillicothe, Mo., providing state-of-the-art health care to patients in Livingston County and an eight-county region of North Central Missouri. A city-owned, not-for-profit Critical Access Hospital, Hedrick Medical Center is the only Joint Commission accredited hospital in north central Missouri. Our 25-bed acute care hospital offers comprehensive care, including 24-hour emergency services, inpatient and outpatient diagnostic testing, a spacious maternity unit, a Women's Center featuring 3-D mammography, inpatient and outpatient surgery, inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services, an Intensive Care Unit featuring eICU, a specialty clinic, and primary care offices adjoining the facility. The Emergency Services department is a designated level III stroke center staffed 24 hours per day 7 days per week by professional nurses and physicians. Hedrick Medical Center works closely with Wright Memorial Hospital in Trenton, MO who are both part of Saint Luke’s Health System to provide quality care to the patients we serve in the North Central Missouri region. We are seeking a passionate leader for the Hedrick Medical Center ED manager role with excellent leadership skills including promoting quality customer service, employee engagement, strategic planning and strong communication skills.
Models the SLHS Leadership Competencies and core values including professionalism innovation adaptability independent judgment and solid decision making skills. Accountable for the development implementation and evaluation of the care provided on the patient care units consistent with the established strategic plan goals and objectives for Patient Centered Care. Works in collaboration with nursing leadership to identify areas of improvement regarding practice policies and processes. Supports optimal care that requires specialized knowledge critical thinking and skills based on principles of psychological social physical and biological sciences that utilize the nursing processes. Drives employee engagement and retention. Collaborates with multidisciplinary team to exceed customer expectations in a patient centered and healing environment. Maintains all clinical competencies if required due to size and structure of the unit and may occasionally be counted in staffing.
